The Heirloom Lace Sampler was stitched DMC Perle Cotons size 8 and 12 and floss on Zweigart #18 Black mono canvas; suggestions for other color combinations, including antique shades on brown canvas, are included in the book. The finished size is 7 inches wide by 19 inches high.
The 42 page spiral bound book includes 24 pages of multi-color charts as well as closeup photos and illustrations. All stitches used are shown in large, detailed diagrams with numbered stitching order.
